Default Lidl, Dale Earnhardt Boulevard, Kannapolis, North Carolina: Speculation

It appears to be Lidl. According to "Zoning Map Amendment - Case # Z 2015-05 (DEB Grocery Store)," the proposed grocer is 36,200 square feet requiring 120 parking spaces with 141 proposed.

All they said was that a new grocery store was proposed for Kannapolis. My thought was that it was most likely Lidl or Publix.

I doubt Publix would open a store in a vastly commercial area without residences nearby.

Thanks for figuring it out. The TV announcement was weirdly devoid of details, as if they only had to fill a few seconds. I figured that if I threw it out someone would know something. If they had at least given square footage it would have been easy enough to figure it out.

Default Lidl, Dale Earnhardt Boulevard, Kannapolis, North Carolina: Speculation

If the square footage was 45,600 or 49,098 square feet, it would be quicker to identify the potential grocer as Publix. The proposed grocer being 36,200 square feet, the size of Lidl's new stores, was the giveaway it is Lidl.

Accessing a county, city, town or village council's agenda and minutes is a quicker way to gain better information than media outlets report.

Goodness. Who goes to the grocery store for "authentic prepared food"?

It's an absolute contradiction.
