I did a search for July openings for Lidl today & only 4 locations were announced. I wonder if this is connected to problems that the Greenville & Spartanburg Lidls had with refrigeration & freezer cases after the June openings.

I was surprised that it was only 4 for July, still none in this area.

Here's an updated look at Rea Farms, the development in South Charlotte that will be home to a massive Harris Teeter:

I'm surprised that Ingles hasn't gotten land in or near Mooresville or Hickory.

More have been added, on 2 additional days, in July. Still none in the Charlotte area.

Ingle's should have more stores east of Asheville. Being in Hickory, Winston-Salem, High Point, and Greensboro could earn Ingle's additional stores and market share.

It makes zero sense that Ingles is in Morganton & Statesville but neither Hickory nor Mooresville. Maybe they were snooping around Mooresville. That might explain a giant Teeter.

Ingle's store count could be greater if it was in, in addition to Mecklenburg County, Asheboro, Gastonia, Greensboro, Hickory, High Point, Lenoir, Monroe, North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, and Winston-Salem.
