Default Tyber Creek Pub

Has anyone ever been to this bar on South Blvd.? I saw it on citysearch, and it seem like a real cool place. How is the atmosphere, and also is it in a good neighborhood? I thought I read a few stories from the Observer of some crime that happened near east blvd. and this bar is pretty close to that area.

It's a really fun place actually - especially on weekends when they have live music. It's an "irish pub", and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. I'd definately recommend it for sure

Very eclectic crowd, good times. It's in a reformed area but nothing to be concerned about. In fact, Southend is one of the trendy and desirable areas of Charlotte.

I like Tyber Creek Pub myself. It is in the section along South Blvd called Southend which sits just in the shadow of uptown Charlotte. Because it is a more urban bar there have been some occasional problems in that area over the years - but not every week or even every month. It's a great little hangout

I haven't been for a couple years but it was a good place then. It's in the south end area where a lot of the movie "Shallow Hal" was filmed.

I haven't either. When I saw the thread title I thought "man that place is still around?"

Used to go every now and then. This was about 6-7 years ago though.
