But I liked Sarah Fortner, and viewers west of Gastonia can now view her on the SC station WYFF-4.
John Wendel left the station in late July. I believe that he works for CharMeck Stormwater Services now.

Glad to see he's moved forward. Wonder if he's hosting a "Fish Pic's" segment in the lunchroom at work?

So good to see Tara Lane on one of the networks.

When we switched from TWC to satellite TV, her weather reports were the only thing I really missed afterwards. She comes across as a down to earth, real person.

You're right. Hope she sticks around for awhile!

Legendary morning show hostess Kathie Lee Gifford has retired from the Today Show on NBC and will be moving to Nashville to pursue her music and film career, ending an 11 year run with Hoda Kotb. She will be succeeded by Jenna Bush Hager.

KLG began her morning TV career on Good Morning America and gained notoriety when paired with icon Regis Philbin to host the Live morning show on WABC and national syndication. After retiring from the ABC show, she later joined NBC on the 3rd hour of Today for another successful run on morning TV.

Hoda Kotb will continue on the 3rd hour, in addition to the primary first hour where she succeeded longtime anchor Matt Lauer, who was previously paired successfully with Katie Couric, Meredith Viera, and Savannah Guthrie. A short lived pairing of Lauer with newsreader Ann Curry ended with her abrupt and tearful departure. Meanwhile, the new combination of hosts on Today continues to evolve.

And on a side note, Kathie Lee Gifford was married to the late NFL star and ABC commentator Frank Gifford, and remains a friend of the Billy Graham Ministry in Charlotte.

The Today Show airs mornings on WCNC-Channel 36/NBC Charlotte.
