She's living in another house somewhere in Charlotte.

I don't know if the house is livable. She said she wants to fix it up and rent it one day.

It seems odd. Something doesn't fit.

I'd call her & tell her that the window covering didn't hold & that you heard some neighbors say that they're ready to call the city. That might move her and if she can't afford to deal with the problems it gives her an opening to say so. Plus it takes the onus off you if you do call.

I left her a VM this morning and said that the window covering (plastic and cardboard) is down. I said I don't know if someone has tried to break in again.

She called me back and said she was at the house earlier this week and fixed the plastic (it's a trash bag) so that it covers the window. She claims the repairman never showed up to fix it... that was 3 months ago... and as of today he's still not showing up.

I did mention that we had some neighbors over the other day and they asked about it... hinting to get the window fixed.

I guess I'll give her a week, then report her to the city.

I wish she'd sell us the lot, but that's a whole other story.
