I am considering the Ardrey Commons community for a relocation and would be moving with my wife and 3 young kids (12, 6, 6). I see a lot of appeal for a community like Ardrey Commons with its charming architecture and amenities, but I am also seeing mention of the community for a retirement community.

Can anyone share insight on this neighborhood for young kids who want to play outside? Is it more of a retirement community or more young families there?

More families. That area is a big draw to young families and right near the best schools.

As a real estate agent in North Carolina, I can't answer your question directly. My suggestion would be to drive around the community in the afternoons and ask some of the homeowners about the makeup of the community.

Try driving by when the school bus comes in the afternoon. That will give you a good idea.
