Green Bay, WI has never hosted a Super Bowl.

Um, no. They can't and won't:

"While it’s clear that the Green Bay Packers won’t be hosting a Super Bowl, but it’s not because of the weather, according to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

With the new New York Giants-New York Jets stadium being awarded the Super Bowl in 2014, there was something of an outcry by Packers fans who felt Lambeau Field should get a future NFL title game as well.

Goodell said Thursday that Wisconsin’s wintry weather isn’t the issue.

“I guess we have same potential to be cold when we come to New York in 2014, but it’s really not as much about the weather as it is the infrastructure. To put on a Super Bowl, I think it’s over 25,000 (hotel) rooms within 60 miles. … It's an extraordinary undertaking, and it gets bigger and bigger every year. I think those are the challenges a market like Green Bay would face.”

Green Bay needs to realize that the whole frigid football fan is not cute or appealing outside Green Bay lol.

Charlotte would be a GREAT city. If Jacksonville could get it (being one of the more boring places to visit) then Charlotte should get it. I think Atlanta is due for another go round as well (I think it's been 20 years).

It should never be anywhere cold. I went to the 2014 superbowl in NJ and we lucked out with tolerable temps. It could have easily gone the other way.

Atlanta with the new stadium I am sure will get it. Miami renovated the stadium and is putting a roof on next year. The "renovation" to BofA stadium probably isnt enough. Also the hotel room count and most likely drawing against Atlanta doesn't help. It would take a bit of work and politicing to get the SB here.

Did you not read this whole thread? The jacksonville superbowl was considered a disaster. They were housing people on cruise ships. It will be 20 or 30 years before charlotte will be the size needed to host a superbowl.

It's amazing how some people just ignore facts, when even the commissioner is on record talking about how many hotel rooms are needed. Charlotte just isn't there. That's a Fact.

Neither were some of the other cities who have hosted. This logic isn't valid.

Does Charlotte have over 25,000 hotel rooms within 60 miles of uptown?
