For a budget of 200K-250k.. Single Family homes, looking in the suburbs of Charlotte. Commute time isn't much of an issue.

Neighborhoods- we're not really conservative.

I wouldn't mind being more towards the west in Gaston county closer to the mountains but north of Charlotte would be fine too.

We're coming down next weekend to generally check things out.

That's gonna be tough to find a good builder in that price range.

Is there a reason you're looking for new construction? I mean, I love a new home (we built ours in 2013); but for your price range, you're looking at tract homes by a national builder.

Are schools an issue for you?

In that price range, I'd suggest coming to City of Kings Mountain & looking. I'd suggest that you contact the zoning dept. & ask them for recommendations. You might find something in your price range in Gastonia, but it would be tract housing.
