We are getting married in Mooresville on 10/3, and want to have a cookout with all of our family and friends from out of town on Sunday 10/4. We wanted to do North Meck Park, but there are soccer games all day =( Jetton Park is pretty, but it is rented out already and they charge people to get in...
Anyone have a recommendation on a park to use?? We want somewhere we can grill out and also have a field to play frisbee/soccer/catch/LaX/etc...Somewhere between Huntersville and Mooresville - thanks!

Not in the ideal location, but I was impressed with Reedy Creek's offering re: ball fields, entertainment areas, etc. if you were willing to drive a little bit. Not sure what the rental fee would be but it may be worth looking into.

I agree with above poster. I held a first birthday party at reedy creek park and there was plenty for people of all ages to do. They have a number of fields too. We rented a large shelter which held about 60 ppl. As a meck resident I think the cost is $160 and you get it for the whole day. Check out the parks website
