ONYX IS THE SPOT... just like any other freaking club its the people that attend. very seldom does anything happen in the club. it's a nice spot, the atmosphere is very soothing and the girls are at work. Now should they suffer because a couple people wanna kill each other. Totally unreal and unfair to the staff of that club!

We just don't feel safe attending a club that a couple people have decided to kill each other at on a few occasions...

We have a similar deal in New Bern, Club Insomnia. Open 2:00 - 7:00 or so, and guess what, people tend to get killed there on a regular basis, too. UHMMMM.

Just for claification, people don't get "killed on a regular basis" at Onyx. There was just one shooting, which actually happened outside the club, not inside. I've been since that incident and now they have people who stop and search your car before you pull onto their property. And then you walk through a little airport scanner/metal detector like thing at the door, and then they pat you down as well. I'm serious, they really do all that for real, LOL!! I know, funny, but I will say they run a very tight establishment over there. As strip clubs go, its as safe as you will find.

I just would never go to a place strip club or otherwise that requires this type of vigilance. I went out for a rather wild girl's night last Friday we went to several clubs, bars and even a strip club at the end of the night. Never once did anyone search my car or make me go through a metal detector. I prefer my fun nights to be a gun free situation.
