I own a DW and it is fantastic. I bought it as a foreclosure and they still were great about comming out and fixing a few cosmetic repairs. One phone call no hassles and even fixed some damage by the previous owner that was clearly not a warrenty issue. I looked at Ryan homes as well and feel that DW is a step above. However, I think Ryan offers a nice product too.

David Weekly has a very good reputation in the homebuilder area. Ryan homes has been hard to deal with at times. They are very non flexible about changing certain things in a homes construction. Weekly on the other hand seems to care more about what you want more than what they can sell you.

IMO David Weekly hands down. Ryan is a great production builder and has good value. They build excellent townhomes. On the other hand David Weekly builds many homes in communities with full custom builders . Their quality compares with many high end builders and they maintain the same quality in their affordable homes as in their 600+ communities. Check out the company they keep.. Ryan builds mostly in all Ryan communities. David builds in communities with provident, simonini, and other custom builders. You cannnot go wrong with either as long as you get the right community.

I put cabinets in new homes in the Charlotte region and David Weekly was one of our customers. Always my choice for best home. Pays great attention to detail and every super I ever met is very picky. Great home for the money. Ryan homes are also good but hands down David Weekly!!!

I agree with the others, Ryan is very good, however David Weekly builds a product that seems to be more higher end, as mentioned earlier the homes are in developments with other builders some of who are custom home builders. However, Ryan may have more flexibility with their incentives and discounts at this time.

It looks like DW builds around the perimeter of Charlotte. Their homes looks great! but if you're looking to live in Charlotte City Limits, I'd suggest Ryan's Park South Station just out side of the South Park area of Charlotte. We are getting ready to build a town home there. PM me if you'd like to know about the South Park area.

Bought Ryan in December, like the layout, and for the most part the construction. Ryan's attention to details, well in my opionion a bit lacking. The sales reps customer service on site was horrible. Every question that was asked was always answered with, we will find out and get back to you. Never once did I get a phone call back with an answer to any questions. Would have to stop by the models and wait there while they made a phone call or emailed the question to someone else.
Ended up going with someone else besides NVR, and Ryan couldn't come up with a concrete actual final sales price, until almost a week before closing.
Besides that, I like my place... OH yeah, and my PM was released about 2-3 weeks before closing or final walk through, and they never told us, found out when we showed up for final walk...
