Default Need airport/commute info from Exit 23

We have an 11:40am flight on Friday. I'm planning on leaving home at about 9:00 and driving 77 to 85. I've never had to go to the airport at that time of the day and wondering what we can expect for traffic?

Also, anyone have any info on remote parking at the airport? I've seen a couple of signs but didn't really check it out. I need to park for 8 days. are there shuttles that run from the remote parking?

Thanks for any info.

Mark

You should have plenty of time. Yes there are shuttles. Just have to wait for them to come around to you. Do yourself a favor and write down where you parked. I forgot one time and spent about 1.5 hours looking for my car.

Mark, you should have no problem at that time of day, as long as 85/77 has no big accidents

Once on 85 you will exit for the airport onto Billy Graham Parkway. After going thru two redlights in quick succession you will exit onto Josh Birmingham Parkway to the airport. At the redlight if you take a right you will find the long term parking on both sides of the road. Park where there is still room (some lots may be closed because they are full) and the shuttle will pick you up to drop you at the terminal. Don't get discouraged if you have to park in the very last lot - the lots are fenced with high fences and razor type wire, so your car is safe. Have a great flight!

They are actually doing a "special" report on channel 9 tonight on the safety of you car at the airport.

Really??? We park in long term often and have never had or heard of any problems. Hope that's not changing!

Thanks so much for the info guys. I'm going to try out the long term parking and see how much of a hassle it is.
