I did some searches on this forum and found a lot of mega traffic issues in Mooresville, specifically along Brawley School Road and 150. (sorry if these terms are not quite right, we haven't even visited yet!) But most of the threads were complaining about this back in like, 2008, 2009.

Has anything been done to change the traffic congestion?

How bad are we talking?

My husband's new job is right off of Brawley School Road, near Williamson.

Also, threads were talking about it taking FOREVER to get to and from school. If we were in a school near this area of Lake Norman, is this still the case? Where is traffic a nightmare? Are busses not an option? Or is this just for people who chose to drive their children?

Thanks.

Nope, you're good now in that area. They completed a new exit and additional road work on Brawley in the last couple of years and has really did that area well. I go through their daily and never experience any congestion, certainly not like it was before when those posts were spot on and it was a complete nightmare.

Now I will say that 150 still has it's challenges as nothing has really been done over there to help out aside from adding that additional exit on 77 at Brawley School Road (which did help some). But, once you have lived here a little bit you will learn all the backroads into the various shopping centers and never really need to get onto 150. I rarely travel it now just because of those other avenues you can take.

No problems on Brawley School anymore but as someone else mentioned Hwy 150 is bad. It is challenging getting to Lake Norman High School. There are buses but they pick up very early to be able to get the kids there on time.
