I am planning a move to NC and looking to be somewhere in the Statesville or Mooresville area as my new job will take me just north of Statesville. I am looking for advice on which area would be a better location.

Have you considered Statesville or Hickory?

Depends on what you like in a location. Fill in those details and we can probably help direct you better.

Mooresville has a lot more to offer, but at a premium compared to Statesville, in terms of housing costs, taxes, etc..

You're recommending a commute from Plaza Midwood to a work location north of Statesville? Really?

I would lean towards Mooresville because the city offers much better amenities then does Statesville. The commute between the two cities is like 10-15 miles on the freeway. You also might want to look towards the town of Troutman which is beginning to be a focal point for residential development.

Statesville is a nice area with easy access to interstates 77 & 40. Mooresville is expanding rapidly and is getting very congested as the road network not keeping up with the growth.

Having to go north above Statesville you will be going in opposite direction of morning rush and evening rush.

Check out the area east of Statesville along Rt 70.
