It is great to see that there are many citizens that shop at Southpark Mall who DO UNDERSTAND and OBSERVE the true meaning and traditions of Christmas. My husband and I were at Southpark Mall recently and there at the "fountain area" was this unusual, weird display. Later to find out this was the mall's interpretation of being more modern with their display. The large response from shoppers proves that eyes are on the business sector and WILL SPEAK OUT regarding practices that are distasteful. I believe, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Many parents and children look forward to the long tradition of pictures with Santa. I recall those "long lost days". Let's keep some things "close to the breasts" since the holidays are already TOO COMMERCIALIZED" already. This is just another way for merchants to have "sales" and the children on "Holiday vacation". When I taught 3rd grade, years ago, I tried to emphasize the "True meaning of each and every holiday". With all the different cultures in Charlotte and the world, for those wanting to observe holidays the "old fashioned way", DON"T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US TOO". Just my thought. Thank you.

Have a blessed day!
