Has anyone driven on Old Lancaster Hwy lately at the corner of Hwy 51? Who made the decision to put those horrible looking yellow "traffic directors" in the road? These things stand about 4 feet tall and are not uniform so some lean to the left, other to the right. They look awful!

I understand what they are trying to accomplish, but surely there's something more aesthetically pleasing to get the job done.

Tell me about it. That gas station always has fuel for 5-10 cents a gallon cheaper than anywhere else. Now I have to either go thru the light, turn around, go back thru the light to get in or take a left, make a U-turn, then pull in.

One day they just plopped them up. I'm waiting for someone to plow'em over

They lean because they have already been hit.

Not too familiar with Pineville... Is it an actual... like a Matthews with the small town kind of feel (sorry if it sounds like a dumb question)...

Pineville=extension of Charlotte except for .5 mile down Main St (Hwy 51). IMO anyway.

Hee Hee. Pineville was there a long time b/f CLT sprawled into it, but you are right - these days - who can tell where CLT ends and P'ville begins.

Charlotte didn't have anything to do with Pineville building a mall. The town wanted it there and that was a catalyst for growth.
