My wife and I will be moving to Charlotte this winter/spring from Columbia SC for work. We do not know the area all that well and are looking for any information that you could help us out with. My job will be in North Charlotte near Concord so we are looking to move in an area north of town but still don't want to be too far away for date nights downtown. Our budget for our home will be around 200K. Do you guys have any recommendations on neighborhoods/subdivisions/home builders? Are there some areas to avoid due to crime/schools etc?

Thanks so much

You should be fine in Harrisburg or any parts of Concord near the Mecklenburg County border.

We're under contract in Highland Creek with a similar budget. It's right off the 485 loop next door to Concord.
