Does anyone know how long you must be a resident before you can apply for benefits such as food stamps or Medicaid? Quick Google search shows: Department of Social Services

Their CS # is 704-336-3000
Beside the point, but...why the potential move to NC? Good luck!
I've always wanted to live somewhere with warmer weather and better cost of living but had to wait until my birdie left the nest for college. I'm following my dreams. I will return to work at some point and thankfully my field is something I can do just about anywhere
I also have a myriad of health issues that my doctor has recommended I move to warmer weather to improve.
