All,

My girlfriend and I have recently moved to Denver, NC and need to find a venue for an 8 year old girls birthday party. We were thinking a trampoline park but the only ones I see are in Charlotte or Pineville. I can just imagine the parents being really enthused about driving an hour to go to a birthday party that is going to be tiring as it is.

Does anyone know of good places around the lake for this sort of thing? Maybe even a restaurant that rents rooms that kids may like?

Were trying to stay away from Monkey Joes and the like since the cost is so ridiculous.

Spare Time in Huntersville might work. Bowling, Laser tag, game room, etc.

Oh, and stuff for adults too.

Mooresville - Benchwarmers, The Pit, Zootastic, George Pappas Bowling. There's also a gymastics place near downtown Mooresville that you can rent for a party and they've got the typical tumbling and fun things to do like that. These are all places my 8 year old has had a party or we've been to a party there. All were fun and different in their own way. The trampoline park would be a lot of fun but driving too far might impact how many are able to make it (which on the flip side makes it cheaper!)

My kids have had a couple parties and attending many at Benchwarmers and enjoyed it. They let you pick a couple sports activities. It recently just changed names/ownership, so not sure if anything has really changed though. Another Mooresville party option is AcroFitness that has tumbling and gymnastics.

AC Moore does birthday parties. There are AC Moores in Concord & Hickory. Check their website.

Mooresville has the unbelievable indoor go-cart race tracks for birthdays, etc. Glad to see that trampoline parks are back. They were banned decades ago in the Charlotte area when drunks like me would end up with their heads caught in the springs thus presenting an insurance liability. I am sure they have made improvements. We also had a zoo in the area until the elephant got loose and caused some issues. Sorry, TMI.
