If you want Cox Mill you will pay a bit more in rent. You need to look at Highland Creek (Cabarrus Side only), Winding Walk (there were a couple of houses for rent but you will most likely see rents at $1400 and up), Skybrook (Cabarrus Side only) and Christenbury. Your best bet is within Highland Creek but the rentals go fast.

If you want Odell look in Moss Creek, Cannon Crossing, Poplar Woods, Wellington Chase, Skybrook North, Fullerton Place. Odell is a good school and it should be closely rated to Cox Mill. We rented in Moss Creek for two years while our house in Winding Walk was rented out (we moved out of state for 18 months). We really enjoyed the neighborhood and the amenities.

If you have any questions about the schools are this area let me know. My kids attend Cox Mill ES.
Our situation is similar to OPís. Do you have a suggestion on how to find rentals? Iím trying to look while living remotely (though Iíd rather be able to drive through and find signs). Most of what Iím seeing is the big agencies like Progress and American Homes 4 Rent.

I'd go with Harrisburg. The traffic is better, you'll get more house for your money when you buy, and taxes are less.

As soon as the they build Birkdale 2, the traffic won't be better.

When we were needed to rent we were also doing it from out of state. I contacted Robert Brooks to help me. Here's his info: Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Salisbury, NC, Homes, Real Estate. You could also check out realtor.com and put in 28027 (which is Concord though it covers a big area) https://www.realtor.com/apartments/28027 (it says apartments but it also lists houses. I saw one in our neighborhood for rent). There are quite a few by American Homes 4 Rent, they snapped up quite a few in recent months. I believe you wanted to be close to UNCC though I can't remember your budget. Schools were important. Harrisburg ES, Cox Mill ES, Odell ES are some of the better ES's in Cabarrus County and you will pay more in rent especially for CMES. The reason they are considered better is the amount of parent participation and volunteerism. If you have any questions feel free to DM me.

Patriot ES is also highly rated, it covers parts of Harriburg and Concord, may want to look into the area that is zoned for it also.

Which middle and high schools in the concord are are good? We will be moving in the summer from Atlanta. My husband will be working from Charlotte up to Winston Salem. We are considering fort mill, Tega Cay, Matthews, Harrisburg, clemmons and someone recommended concord. Great schools are very important and we would like to keep it under $250,000
Thank you guys for any information
