Default Construction across Concord Mills

Does anyone know what's being built across Concord Mills? The land is graded and there is construction equipment there everyday, but there is no sign. Also, does anyone know if there is anything planned for "Christenbury Corners" at the corner of Concord Mills Blvd and Derita? I think a grocery store and gas station would be great, but that's just my opinion.

I believe the construction you are referring to is behind the Auto Bell Car Wash. I was told it is suppose to be a shopping center anchored by Wal-Mart and Lowes.

They have a Walmart in University next to the Dicks and Best Buy, and a Super Walmart in Concord Commons about fifteen minutes away. Would they really need a third Walmart sandwiched between two others?

Wait...don't answer that...

There will be a Wal-Mart behind Auto Bell and the 4 corners at Derita will be anchored by Lowes, Walgreens, and Bloom (grocery store). They are also proposing a bank and the remaining space will be retail.

The University Wal-Mart will be closing (yep another empty building). They are putting a Super Wal-Mart near IKEA.

The University Wal Mart should be condemned! Why it has taken so long to get a Super Wal Mart in the vicinity is beyond me.

Though a Super Target would be a much better choice...
