Hi Charlotte Forum,

I've had this conversation with various people including a few staffing agencies/recruiters regarding employers and pay around these parts. I've never seen any official published reports so what I do know has been gathered from various individuals, ranging from very reliable good to somewhat reliable. I've always heard that Bank of America was #1 regarding salaries with Duke Energy being in the top three and TIAA Cref being top five. I'm curious to gather thoughts from the forum. Bottom line based on what you know who are the top paying companies in the Charlotte Metro.

Best paying for what? A specific job title or function? Or are you talking about a simple mathematical average of total salary divided by number of employees? The latter is meaningless, except as a trivia answer, but a company like SPX, UTC Aerospace or Electrolux would probably win.

Aren't there sites like Glassdoor to tell you those numbers or at least give an idea?
