Would someone please give me some information on Sant John Forest Subdivision in Monroe. We are moving this summer and came across this neighborhood as a possibility. I am concerned about safety, proximity to shopping, etc. Thank you.

Hi! I live about a mile away from Saint John's Forest. It's in the western edge of Monroe, nearly by Mineral Springs. It's a nice, quiet development that's about 10 minutes away from the shopping areas of Monroe and about a half hour ride to the major shopping areas of south Charlotte. Crime is very low in that area. If you have children, you would need to determine what schools they would be attending. That factor alone, might determine whether Saint John's Forest would be suitable for you and your family.

It's maybe a 5-7 minute drive to the Wesley Chapel shops. There's a Target, Harris Teeter, 201, few restaurants. I'm almost positive St. John's Forest is zoned for Monroe, but I am not sure about the elementary school.

lauralaylin I checked some of MarshaLynne's other posts and discovered she is 60, so the school factor is probably inconsequential. I do believe you are right about the zoning for St. John's Forest being Monroe. Monroe's schools are usually at the bottom of the county rankings being the caveat. I live in Lexington Commons across from the Walter Bickett school. That's where the elementary school population is sent.

Elementary school is Rocky River Elementary. High School and middle schools are Monroe High and Monroe Middle. I know many people who live there and haven't really heard any complaints from them.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I am 60 so schools are not a major concern. We did buy a house in Saint John Forest and are relocating in June.
