gated communities? (Charlotte: house, neighborhoods, buyer)

Hi,

Are there gated communities for a housing budget of 350-450k? If so can you please list them? I had trouble finding any online.

(My story: I'll be graduating in 2 years with a bsn and my mom and I want to move then, considering Orlando and VA but I've been to Charlotte and really like it. My mom is giving me a huge say in our move so I'm just doing some research. She wants a community with activities like golf. She is a math teacher.)

I am sure they can be found, especially if you have a good buyer broker. I found one in the Wessex Square area in south Carlotte by looking in Realtor.com. It is on Springs Farm Lane, but that house is under contract. I specified "security features" in the search. You could also look at older neighborhoods in South Charlotte located around golf courses.

In addition, if the mother is over 55, there are additional options in 55+ communities like Sun City.
