Hi Folks

Was looking to see if anybody on the forum is currently living in Bridgehampton (on the NC side). We are close to finalizing a relocation from NJ and this is one of the developments that is high on our list of possibilities.

Would love to hear what you think about it. What the level of activities are from the association (we have 3 kids going into 6th, 7th & 8th grade in the fall)? Friendliness? 2 of my kids & wife play tennis and 2 play reasonably competitive soccer.

If anybody has done a transition into this neighborhood from 'up north'(!) would be eager to hear how it went.

Any info is very much appreciated
Thanks

Be aware it is right across from the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club, a large shooting range. Active on weekends and midday during the week. Might want to check out the noise before making a decision.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I am missing something but that facility looks to have facilities in Waxhaw & Matthews which are both a good disatnce from Bridgehampton - at least according to their website. Am I missing something else???

Thanks

It's the Range at Ballantyne on Harrisburg, closer to the SC side of BridgeHampton.

Indian Land just passed a $$$ bond to renovate & buildout existing MS grounds and build a new HS. Lots of growth in this area. Many transplants here - you will likely enjoy living here and not look back. Stop paying the insane NJ taxes and enjoy easier living here in the new south

Great schools NC side but there seems to be a bit of trouble brewing about student placement http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/boe/Documen...%205-12-16.pdf
Catholic schools have a bus to that neighborhood for middle school
Great neighborhood overall cheaper SC side because of taxes nice facilities

HOA can be a nightmare at times more the management company IMHO

Check the school ratings
growth in the area is very strong, traffic building little to no snow

the Range at Ballantyne is over a mile away from BridgeHampton it is an indoor range 2 years old across from a liquir store and fireworks gotta love it

BridgeHampton is actually a great neighborhood. It's a strong family community with lots of activities for all age groups. Home owners come from diverse backgrounds and geographies. Great schools and super location close to shopping, business parks and interstate. Commute to uptown in off hours is 35 min; during traffic 50 min.
