I'm contemplating returning to CLT after having left the state in 1998. Obviously, lots has changed since then, including my marital status. Living in a really, REALLY secluded rural area, I am hoping that by relocating, among many other things, I would increase my chances of dating again.

Are there any singles in their 50s around here who are still quite active, and feel far from being considered "elderly"? I have noticed that Charlotte has a lot of active MeetUp groups going. What else is out there for us young-at-heart, but maybe less hip folks who have not given up embracing life with open arms?

The area west of Charlotte skews older.

It mostly depends on what your interests are & where you'd be working.
