Enjoying Charlotte?
Hey there, friend, how has the move gone? Enjoying Charlotte?
I'm scouring the town in search of good fish and chips. So far, so bad... was horribly disappointed with Fox and Hound. Next up is Ri-Ra and then Halley's Pub. I'll report promptly!
Seems most of the USA forgot that fish n' chips means COD! The thick, chunky, flavorful white fish so easily found in the U.K. All is well, I was never able to find a good burger in the U.K. either... aye, why can't our cultures just share our kitchen tricks so that we can all eat happily!

I'd go to South Charlotte. There are a number of townhomes and condos in the Ballantyne area, South Park, Blakeney.

Good luck we have been looking for 18 years. We gave up and went with a good curry instead!

Hi,
We moved to Charlotte from France six months ago and just love it here! I recommend the Marquis at Carmel Commons apartment complex. It's in south Charlotte. Great shopping and restaurants nearby. Parks, library, nature preserves, hiking trails etc within minutes. We use the airport often, and it's a 20 minute drive. Good luck with your move. I used to live in Rickmansworth, England when I was in my 20s.

I was in Ri-Ra's tonight before the Hockey game, fish and chips was not that great.
Best Fish n' chips I have had in Charlotte is the Big Ben Pub on 801 Providence Road.
I have also been told to try Sir Edmund Hally's @ park road.
FYI if you are looking for crisps, cadburys, bacon etc.
There is a south african store in Mathhews that sells british products.
