Default Catering Suggestions for South Charlotte

Hi all,
Im having a little party, adults/kids, this weekend and Im new to the area. Im looking for basic good food(don't have time to cook myself), maybe baked ziti, mac and cheese, pizza(thick not thin) or something good for about 30ish people...again meeting the needs of adults and kids.

Also, any suggestions for a place to get a cake that is considerate of allergies?

TIA

I often take goodies to my child's school, and amazingly even the multi-allergy kids are able to eat Harris Teeter's white cake with white icing. You might check with HT.

Well, it's not pizza, but I was recently at a party with bar-be-que catered by Greg's in Matthews (for sandwiches). Also included were pork & beans and corn on the cob - everyone really liked it. Everything came in these big disposable heavy duty aluminum dishes so serving was easy, as was clean up. Just a thought...

I've taken out party-sized trays of food from Mama Lena's in Waxhaw, and my guests have always enjoyed it! They'll have the baked ziti and pizza that you're looking for (although the pizza is pretty thin... I don't htink they make a sicilian thick crust), and the prices are pretty reasonable for the quantity of food you're getting. Shouldn't be too bad of a drive from South Charlotte either.

Thick pizza is hard to come by around here (unfortunately). The best thick crust pizza I've had is from Fratelli's which is in Baxter Village but it's a little pricey. Carmella's pizza is thick too. There's one near Carowinds and one on Hwy 51 and Carmel Rd.

Palone's Pizza in The Fountains caters

There's a catering menu at the top. You can also order a few pies. Their Pizza is consistently rated one of the top in Charlotte. When you call, ask for Frank.

Default Great Bakery

The bakery on Elm Lane, Decadent Designs, makes everything from scratch so check to see if they are nut-free and allergy considerate. We've had cakes from there and they are very good. Their cupcakes are awesome!
