Default Gymnastics in South Charlotte area

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good gymnastics academy in the south Charlotte area? My daughter is a level 4 gymnast and when we move she will need to find a good gym. Not crazy expensive or super competitive either.

Default me too!

My daughter is in the same boat. We were wondering the same thing. I did a google and there are a couple of good ones. We drove by the one down near Matthews, near Stallings..don't waste your time. I guess just like schools, it requires a personal visit.! Good luck, let me know what you find.

My daughter is a beginner and starting in March, so I can't help with the levels. But, we just signed up at Carolina Stars which is just over the line in Fort Mill by Carowinds. Looks like a nice facility and they are members of the USA Gymnastics club.

Default IMHO The Best!

Carolina Gymnastics Academy off of South Blvd. Best equipped in town. Competitive team but laid-back atmosphere. There is no cheerleading here, which means there is more emphasis on traditional gymnastics. The owner is Nick Baker. He's a young guy, friendly, very talented, and the kids all love him. There are girls and boys programs and both are very strong. Most of all, the kids have fun. Good luck!

p.s. I see you are from IL. Nick went to Illinois on a full ride gymnastics scholarship. Not sure when he graduated.

When I say the team is "competitive" I mean vs. their peers. The gym is very laid back and the coaches teach fun and fitness first, competition second.

I didn't find a site for Carolina Gymnastics Academy online for Fort Mill, just one for Wilmington. Do you know if they have a website?

Default Is my face red....

I'm so sorry. It's Charlotte Gymnastics Academy, not Carolina. I don't know what I was thinking as I typed that. And to think I spend more than two hours a week there.

A second on International Sports Center on Monroe in Matthews. Fast growing, lots of kids. My daughter has been going there for almost 2 years and loves it.
