Ok, here we go again, but we will be moving to Charlotte end of April. I see that the job market is tight, but how tight. I mean I am a reliable person, work at least 5 years at each job, well groomed, no felonies or whatever, some college, good attitude, intelligent, blah blah blah, etc... Most employers would love to have me. If I can't get a job right away in my field, are there plentiful positions at the fast food joints/jiffy lube type places? Or are these types of low paying jobs taken as well? I am just looking for something as a fall back to get me started. Thanks.

Charlotte just had a influx of newcomers so there is ton of service work jobs only catch is those type of employers tend to stick with those who have a local address because they can interview and start you on the spot to feel the hole they have.

Default ok

Well that sounds promising, we will have an address, and we will have enough in saving's for a couple months. So it's not that bad of a job market, you just have to be flexible.
