Why did the Gentle Giant's peep lie? For the same reason people are rioting. Years of feeling like they abused by the police.

Lightbulb What Seems To Be The Issue, Here?

If you took the time to go through the numerous threads in the Charlotte forum today, especially those centering around the riots, you would see there are folks using said threads as a 'bully pulpit' to go off on anything and everything

They would have you believe everything 'liberal' is wrong and evil, etc etc

And the Cialis/Viagra comment wasn't directed specifically at you...I used your post as a jumping-in point to address the continued use of the word 'liberal' as though it's some kind of curse word, and that everything THEY stand for is good and right

Also, I gotta take issue with your use of the word 'admirable' when describing some of the rioters...I'm 60 years old, black, and an Army veteran...I have 2 older brothers who are both veterans AND retired police officers, so I have a foot in BOTH worlds, so to speak... and no, I DON'T support burning, looting, and destruction as a way to make a point, to directly answer your previous question...I'm of the generation that believed sustained, peaceful protest should be the order of the day

I am sure the majority of liberals and conservatives ( including the word deplorables deserves a ) are very nice and sincere people genuinely supporting the causes they believe in.

There was nothing admirable about the young people rioting, smashing store windows and looting. Walking around with clenched fists up in the air is also not very admirable.

Police officers are trained to shoot black men. What a lot of BS.

Where do people like you get this kind of information?

The attorney for the family of the man that was shot and killed confirmed that the family has seen the video of the shooting.

I am sure they will make a statement any moment about the gun.

If shooting black men are what they are trained to do, they really slacked off last night in that target-rich environment.

CMPD chief says there is no "definitive" evidence of Scott holding and pointing a gun on any of the videos before he was shot.

Charlotte police chief: Video provides no

Video of Tuesday’s fatal police shooting doesn’t definitively show the victim pointing a gun, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Chief Kerr Putney said Thursday after viewing it.

Police say they saw Keith Lamont Scott armed with a handgun when he exited his vehicle at a University City apartment complex Tuesday afternoon.

But Putney said the video does not provide “absolute, definitive visual evidence that would confirm that a person is pointing a gun. I didn’t see that in the videos I reviewed.”

Putney said the angle of the video was such that he couldn’t see all of Scott’s actions, but what he did see was consistent with witness statements and what officers on the scene reported.

b, b, b, but wait it gets worse.

Putney said that references to transparency in the case didn’t mean that the public would necessarily get to view the video, but meant the family would be allowed. “Transparency means seeing the video if you’re the aggrieved party,” he said.

Kerr Putney, chief of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, speaking about police videos that captured Tuesday’s shooting of Keith Lamont Scott.

Putney says his department releases shooting video “when we believe there is a compelling reason.” He said he supports transparency in the case, “but I never said full transparency.”

how the hell does video confirm what officers reported if there is no video evidence of him holding and pointing a gun?

this is a cover up.
