I totally agree with you. I have used it for years to refer to any punks (opps! is that an N word substitute too? Obviously, many blacks don't realize that whites don't spend their lives sitting around talking about them. Most of us have jobs, families, and other interests that are not race related. We don't generally obsess. As a matter of fact, I never hear anything in reference to blacks unless it concerns something spectacular on the news media like sports, murders, riots, etc. close to home. I believe I can safely say that as a white speaking for others, our lives rarely evolve around topics of race or color.

Assuming that the word "thug" is a reference to blacks indicates an inferiority complex for the person making the assumption. It is like assuming that blacks are being talked about whenever someone says lazy. I wish everyone would get on the bandwagon and be an American and not be an idiot when stopped by cops. There will be occasional screw-ups by cops, but most mishaps will involve just stupid people that are defiant.

Pretty proud of your segregated life. This explains your lack of perspective and empathy on a wide range of topics where race is a factor.

Saying that racism exists doesn't mean that all white people are racist or that race is the sole driving factor for all of our society's ills.
