Charlotte-Mecklenburg police did not capture key video footage of last week’s fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott because a responding officer apparently didn’t turn on his body camera until after police had already shot the victim – a violation of department policy.

Felt, as you're already aware, you've already posted the POLICE DEPT's RELEASE OF THIS tidbit into (at least one) another thread. (Possible transgression of forum rules if memory serves correctly. Mods take note).

Intent on driving your credibility here on these forums BELOW ZERO?

Evidently one guy didn't turn his on - others did, though not the shooter.

If it's a violation of departmental policy, that officer should suffer the consequences of that policy violation.

It tells us nothing whatsoever about the righteousness of the shooting.

If they ALL had them turned off, your conspiracy theory would hold a lot more water. As such, it holds approximately zero...

According to the CMPD this is because he wasn't wearing one as he was working as an undercover agent.

Not undercover, plain clothes. I watched the press conference where the chief talked about the fact that not all of the tactical teams had been issued body cams, yet.

Plain clothes officer = Undercover officer

Tactical team /= Undercover officer

OP's title is wrong. He never activated a camera, because he didn't have one.
