I am diabetic and have a wonderful endocrinologist. I don't know, however, if she deals with PCOS. (I had to look up this syndrome). Her name is Dr. Roberta Bracken. She is very easy to talk to, does not rush you and is very caring and knowledgeable.
Here's Dr. Bracken's info: Dr. Bracken practices Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism and Internal Medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Roberta Bracken, a female, graduated from the Temple University School of Med Philadelphia with an MD and has been in the profession for 25 years. Roberta Bracken, MD Presbyterian Endocrinolgoy 1918 Randolph Rd Ste 220 Charlotte, NC 28207 Phone: (704) 338-6300 A huge bonus is her PA, Victoria Morimoto, who is amazing. I depend on Victoria for so much of my medical information and encouragement. I've heard good things about REACH (which is a reproductive clinic.)
You may try searching on PCOS Message Board - Powered by vBulletin on the forums there. I know they have doctor recommendations for PCOSers there. (I just moved to the area and have to find a new doctor myself. I'm taking metformin currently and it seems to be controlling the PCOS.) |

I have seen Dr. Robinson at Charlotte Medical Clinic...extremely smart but his bedside manner isn't the greatest.
I am now seeing Dr. Brantley with Mecklenburg Medical Group. He's great & very sensitive to PCOS issues. GL! |

I was seeing a great PCOS-specialist endocrinologist in Northern Virginia. When I told him I was moving back to Charlotte, he pulled out a directory and chose to recommend Dr. Bracken to me. I have not been to see her yet, so it's really good to hear that someone really likes her. Thanks for the info!
