We are coming to visit this weekend because my bf has a job interview Tuesday. Like many on these forums we want to relocate. We will be staying in LKN area and looking at houses most of the weekend but come Tuesday morning we will need to be out of the hotel and his interview is at 10. I will have his car so I may drive around South Charlotte and check it out but I will have my dog with me. Any suggestions of things I could do with him? Last time this happened we walked around uptown and spent some time in a small park but that got boring after awhile since I could not go in anywhere. Any ideas? Are there any nearby dog parks? I doubt I could take him in though since we are from out of state?

Thanks!

How about spoiling your dog with a visit to the Canine Cafe? Dog Lover Gifts, Doggie Treats Cakes and More The Canine Cafe is the place for dog gift basket

Maybe that will help kill some time for you, and your dog is welcome there.

Default National White Water Center

It's in the news alot now because they are going to start charging for parking, but anyway it'a agreat place to go with a dog for a few hours. They have miles of trails, a outdoor restaurant( which is very dog friendly) and you may get to watch a few Kyakers. The dog must be on a leash, but it's free for now and a very nice place to spend a few hours. Good luck

Home. A lot of dog parks around. Dog Bar in NoDa, but they open in the summer months only.

You could walk down the Little Sugar Creek greenway in Myers Park to Freedom Park. It's a huge park/pond area, and it would be fun for you and your dog (providing the weather's nice). There is also the Canine Cafe

if you want to get inside. I've never been in there but it looks fun.
Hope this helps!
