I went to Once Upon a Child (in CT, but they have one here too, or any consignment store, but Once... only takes the "better" stuff) and just bought up a bunch of "fancy" dresses for about $5-7 each, in a few sizes, from my DDs size at the time and up a couple of sizes. The dresses got TONS of wear, at the party and for years after, the box in in my garage now, but probably would get use still if I brought it inside when DD has friends over!

Let me suggest your local thrift store. Or possibly like joanchris2000 has suggested a cosignment shop. Thrift stores should be a little cheaper and I think they have a better variety than cosignment shops. Good luck to you. I hope little Miss Diva enjoys herself.

Have you looked in the Charlotte Parent magazine? At one time there was a advertisment in the back of the magazine for a couple of different people who did just what you are interested in. Good Luck
