What events we have in Charlotte or south carolina (Fortmill/Rockhill) area for New Year eve. I'm looking for family friendly events, something I can take my 3 yr old as well.

Do something at home. That way you can have friends, drink as much as you want, smoke whatever, play music, talk all you want and you don't have to drive afterwards. Or if you live near bars that don't require reservations (few and far between on New Year's eave) walk there.

What I said above (possibly). You can control the environment and put the child to bed when tired. But, if you aren't planning on "partying," I agree that discovery place would be great if open. It might be a bit nippy for Stowe Botanical Garden. Christmas lights are still on display too, I believe. To be honest, three year olds are happy with almost anything including a trip to the pizza parlor and couldn't care less about New Year's Eve. Best wishes for a Happy New Year with whatever you choose to do. My three year old would have been happy with a rattler (not snake) and a slice of pizza.

P.S. Might be a good time for a kid's movie?

I recommend club Onyx for next year. Took my kid there and had her popping bottles of sparkling grape juice until the early AM hours.

That kid does have some good moves. I see some potential.
