Hello everyone,
Can anyone suggest good/serious employment agencies and head hunters in Charlotte and surrounding area?
I'm in HR Outsourcing.
Thank you,

Perform some research and look into them. They have a bad rep on this board so I don't know how well it would do to be one of them. No call backs and it seems like they fill up their "pool" of candidates, not the help them find positions. Seems pretty sketchy to me and I haven't had a good experience with one, yet...

Smile Employment Agencies

I can use some suggestions too. I want to relocate to NC and I can use some suggestions too. I am unemployed in NYC. Do you think it's a good idea to venture out unemployed. The agencies/and firms tell me in order
to get me a job I have to be living in the same state.

Please advise and thank you. You can respond to: nancy_v1@msn.com

Regards,

Nancy

OfficeTeam is really good (at least in my experience). I signed up with them, took their test & they had me set up with a temp job within a week. After that I was pretty much employed consistently until I was hired by my current job (which I got through OfficeTeam).

Thank you,
Sherpa..Anthony was real good. I recommend him highly, they seem to get the good jobs compared to the dime a dozen temp agencies that only offer temp job after temp job.

Default hi

Try Melanie Gregory at Career Wise. I met her she is very nice and takes her work seriously. Maybe she can be of assistance in your search. I have been to office team in raleigh and in nyc. They helped me with a temp to perm spot that got me no where and I have not heard from them sense.

Nancy,

You can actually register with agencies while you are in NY and have everything transfered or just go online as most have you fill out applications online

Adecco is 50/50

stay away from Talent Bridge as they don't return phone calls for most people.
For the most part agencies here are not very professional as they don't return calls, and usually don't have the jobs they were advertising for.

I agree. Sherpa has placed me and my husband. They mostly place mid- to senior level management positions, concentrating on finance and IT...little or no clerical.

Most don't respond or downgrade your qualifications.

Of the few I would recommend after, I would try W-2 Financial in Charlotte or Manpower Intl. The latter has offices everywhere. The recruiter I was dealing with is out of Wisconsin placing in Charlotte. I had a few calls from another out of Raleigh and Tampa, placing in Charlotte.

For the most part, they are lame. Only Sherpa responds, checks on you every 2 weeks after they have placed you, and checks with the employer every 2 weeks after your employment...this is for contract positions.

Best of luck...it is hard...beware of the banks...they flip-flop a lot, will put you and the recruiter through the entire hiring process and then cancel the position.

I know it's best to relocate with a job but when you are not in the same state. They will not want to interview. You become less desirable. I relocated to Raleigh without a job and it's been very stressful. I know what you mean by less stressful but I have been here seven mths and no luck. I have been applying online thought to firms and indicating on my cover letter that I will relocate in April.
