So I am looking to relocating to Charlotte and really have my eye on the Highland Creek area.

However, I noticed with most of the rentals, they are managed by 'American Homes 4 Rent' which nationally does not have a good reputation. So I am curious to if their management is just as bad even in the HC area?

And/or does anyone have any recommendations for a rental managements, realtors, etc that do rentals?

Thank you.

American Homes 4 Rent bought up a lot of the foreclosure properties during the recession. From what I have heard I would stay away from them.

The local MLS does have rental properties. You might want to see if you can find a realtor to help you find a rental. Good luck.

We rented one through Colony American Homes which has since changed names to Waypoint homes. We had no issues at all. Easy to deal with and aquick process and even offered short term leases. They own properties all over the country but have loval agents and a loval office.

Not sure on your budget but theres a house on the corner of Brandybuck Dr in Highland creek listed for $380k which is overpriced clearly but i also know it is always for rent too. We used to live on that street and knew two sets of residents that lived there. You could find the listing and contact the agent and ask if its still for rent too
