Hello everyone.

Does anyone know of any competitive Taekwondo teams in or near Charlotte?

I've done some research and have found a number of places offering classes, but I'm looking specifically for a team that competes at local and state-wide tournaments. This would be for my son, who will start high school in the fall.

My husband has been offered a job in the area and we are considering a move over the summer.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Reach out to karate charlotte. I don't think they have competitive teams, but the owner is very involved with taekwando and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Default Taekwondo

This dojang is in Waxhaw, which is a suburb of Charlotte. They have an Elite team that travels for tourments. It also hosts tourtments and seminars, currenlty, one of the Olympics coachs is there teaching a seminar. Several team members will be competing at the Taekwondo Championhip in Las Vegas this month.

I suggest you reach out to Todd Harris of Martial Arts University (Charlotte Martial Arts Classes For Kids & Adults - Summer Camp - Birthday Parties & More!). He's a really nice guy... VERY helpful. I'm sure he knows what's good in the Charlotte area.
