I wanted to know about working for the school systems in and around the Charlotte area. My husband and I are school systems employees near Washington DC and we are planning to relocate to the Charlotte are in the next year or two. Which systems are the best in terms of salary and benefits, easiest to work for, diverse populations, incentives, employee satisfaction, etc? Just want info on working for the school systems.

There is a new program here in Charlotte where teachers in the public schools

My wife teaches here in Cabarrus County (NE of Charlotte) and loves it. She says she wouldn't teach anywhere else. The systems around the area are growing tremendously, so, from someone inside the system, there ARE opportunities.
