We usually get more ice here than snow. But like other posters have said we don't get much of anything anymore. I'd say get whatever makes you feel comfortable & secure.

Yes, that is why I see so may wrecks when we have rain. People thinking like this is the reason. Your car has a much smaller fraction of traction in the rain. AWD vehicles will always be safer and handle better on wet roads especially if the vehicle has vehcile stability control which most AWD vehicles do now.
