I personally love Lake Park! It is neat the way it is set so far back off the main road and gives you a great feeling of being out in the country Have you been there yet, or are you just looking online? I believe the schools for the neigborhood are Porter Ridge, which seem to have a pretty good reputation. Lake Park also has its own private school in the neighborhood which I have heard good things about.

Question Lake Park

Hi - I've been lurking out here reading these blogs. My husband and 3 year old son plan on moving to Union County when and if our house in NJ ever sells! Our sister-in-law lives in Somerset and we like that area, but we're also looking over in the Indian Trail area. Does anyone have any insight or gut feeling as to whether or not Lake Park will be impacted by the Monroe Bypass? It appears to be close to the projected build of the bypass. What about the other subdivisions in that area? I have read that Bonterra residents received notices any others?

Thanks

Okay, guess I am wrong, didn't think the connector was going to be on that side of hwy 74, but here is a map I found:

http://www.ncturnpike.org/pdf/Recomm...As_Nov2007.pdf

I'm still not sure it would adversely affect Lake Park though. If you look at the map real close in you can see the route is north of Lake Park and not thru it.
Use the feature to zoom in close and you'll see that Lake Park is not in the construction zone.
