Are there any good restaurants in Charlotte that aren't all that crowded that people may not know about? For example, there is Chubz Famous Chiliburgers in Charlotte which is really good (and even has an online ordering system, which is nice), but it seems like a lot of people may not know about it (which can make for fast food and a cozy environment for dining in).

Are there any other places like that in Charlotte that has good food but that for whatever reason a lot of people may not know about to where it is too crowded?

Greens is ok. Brooks is GREAT! Open kitchen has a kitchen that hasn't been cleaned forever!

if you like Chinese, we love Dim Sum. It is up near Uptown, on the East Side.

Complete hole in the wall. But wonderful.

Pio Pio in Dilworth, and also Lebowsky's in Dilworth. Pio Pio is a real Peruvian place, great chicken, lots of fun sides and a clean welcoming environment. Lebowsky's has great wings and bar food and a friendly crowd. Also, for food later in the evening, Lucky Lou's off Park Rd - friendly, more of a younger bar crowd, but I eat there almost every Thursday night late and it's always good. Finally, I second Portofino's - the Eastway Drive location is still the best.

Glad you mentioned Dim Sum. We agree it is great! But...

Hole in the wall? I need to take you to one so you know what one looks like. Dim Sum is nice. They have white table cloths for Texas Petes sake!
