Help!!!! Need an apartment! (Huntersville, Cornelius: apartments, rental, condo)

Hi all,
Normally I would not be riding with such urgency, but I'm in a bit of a pickle. I am relocating for my job to Huntersville in two weeks. We found a three bedroom condo at Bexley in Lake Norman. Came down this weekend to check it all out, and I HATE it!!!!! The location in the complex is horrible, I feel completely unsafe. I don't know this area at all, can anyone recommend a rental or condo complex in either Cornelius or Huntersville? We need a three bedroom unit as soon as possible. What does not feel safe to you at Bexley so we can take that into account? Cornelius is a very nice town and if you don't feel safe there, it might be hard for us to recommend something better. So can you please provide more details?

Also, your budget for a 3 bedroom is relevant as well for any recommendations.

Google maps is your friend. Once you narrow down apartments based off of online searches/reviews, put the address in Google maps. You can see what's nearby including restaurants, groceries, etc. You can even click on the google map location to see the actual apt, streets, etc without having to be there. Research, research, research.

Stacey Murphy - don't do this to us! What was bad about Bexley? Tough to give advice when we don't know what you're looking for! What is horrible about the location and what makes you feel unsafe?
