Default Direct international flights from CLT

I am pretty sure that the only European flights flying directly to Europe from Charlotte are to London and Munich. What direct flights are also available to Central and South America or anywhere else.

Being US Airways largest hub offers lots of international destinations. There is a rumor Paris will be added next year. Paris service was offered for a couple of summers but I think they ended prior to 9/11.

International non stop flights:
Mexico City, Cancun, & Cozumel
San Jose and Liberia Costa Rica
Grand Cayman
Montego Bay
Nassau and Freeport
Aruba
Punta Cana DR
St Thomas and St Croix
ST Marrten
St Kitts
St Lucia
Barbados
Antigua
Bermuda

Some of these flights are Saturday or Saturday and Sunday only and seasonal. All are operated by US Airways. There might be an occasional charter to some of the same destinations. US also serves Toronto non-stop.

I actually find it much cheaper to not do a direct flight internationally from Charlotte. Somehow, flying to Atlanta, DC, NY or Newark first lands much better prices.

I'm heading to St. Kitts in early April and I wouldn't have chosen it if I couldn't get there direct from Charlotte. I can report on how good/bad the flight actually is - but I do know that flights in & out of St. Kitts from Charlotte are only on Saturdays.

Thanks everyone. I find that it is generally more expensive to fly directly to London than other major airports. But, by the time I drive to Atlanta, it works out to be more.

The last three or four times I have flown to the UK, I have gone via Philly and it has worked out to be significantly cheaper.

One that comes up as cheaper quite often is Charlotte to Philly and then Philly to Manchester.

Usally cheaper than going to London.
