Thanks in advance for your insight and suggestions. I am relocating for work in a few months and I would love to get open and honest opinions about schools, daycares, and neighborhoods to move to. I am searching for a diverse, family oriented neighborhood. I am an African American women with a toddler and a elementary aged child. I'm looking to move to a area close to work (uptown) that offers diversity, safety, and is family oriented. I'm willing to drive up to an 1/2 hr. to work however the closer I live to work the better. Besides neighborhoods, I'm desperately searching for a daycare and school. To be honest, finding the best school & daycare will dictate where I live. I really need my kids to be happy, well educated, and safe. My kids are currently in a religious private school with advanced classes so I'm looking to find a similar school to help them with the transition. I have been searching through schools but some of them don't appear to be too diverse and others have limited information on the web. Ideally, I would love to have them attend the same school but I know that's asking for a lot. Any suggestions about a great school (preferably private), safe & diverse neighborhoods would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton for all of your help!
