My congratulations to those that wanted the HB2 repealed. I just got word from a reliable source that a special identification will be required for all LGBT individuals to wear every time they use bathrooms and toilets that have the LGBT designation signage. The card will specify the wearer's specific category or preference along with a baby photo showing the sex of the individual at birth and eliminating the chances of fraud.
There are still weird people out there that want a "guy" in the urinal beside him. It would be smart to wear the identification to eliminate negative comments from the "next door neighbour". If there is any problem in the restroom, the identification can be shown to the bathroom attendant who has a direct line to the CPD or in house detectives . Bathrooms/toilets will display with the LGBT sign and a gate will be installed in the facilities that will shut and lock violators of human rights either in or out. The police will arrive and make the arrest.
This policy is for the safety of both the LGBT individual and the violator of human rights since there has never been an issue before. It is always great to have identification since it will also be required for voting in the future. This message has been approved by Mayor Roberts. Did anyone mention that it is April Fool's Day. HEHE. Happy Peeing.
Screw the NCAA, they can't North Carolina, since the UNC is in the Final Four.
Well, you may have a reasonable point as the NCAA let UNC off the hook even when some questionable Chapel Hill student-athlete courses could have screwed the Tar Heels. Why would you expect the NCAA to screw the State of NC now? The Governor and legislature managed to negotiate new legislation to sort of placate the NCAA's recent HB2 request.
Absolutely intentional, but rather inconveniently timed NY Times' article on the NCAA previously looking the other way on some past fake classes and related Chapel Hill's gridiron and hoops academic issues. The NCAA just does what's convenient for itself, its' high-paid leaders, and other cash cows, so expect future NCAA tourneys to return to the state very soon! https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/31/s...ollection&_r=0

We don't have to talk about it if the discussion is over, but Dan Kane inflated and sensationalized the lack of oversight to suit his needs as a news creator. He was exposed recently as willing to take information from uncredited twitter personalities on the topic. Unfortunately, we live in a time where gaining clicks and eyeballs is more important than reporting the truth.
Not one player on UNC's basketball team has benefited from the improper benefits mentioned in the Times article. The quoting of Rashad MCCants is ridiculous. The same guy has said all kinds of dumb stuff, one of which that UNC was paying him 10 million dollars and that the NCAA should pay him 300 million dollars. No player agrees with his stories of academic steering/corruption. In short, he is a liar and suffers from well documented mental illness, for which he has my sympathy.
There is no such thing as "fake classes" despite this buzz word being regularly attached to the lack of oversight documented in the AFAM department. UNC has made numerous reforms and opened themselves to several investigations over the years to improve.
UNC has several All American All academic team athletes on the team that bust their hinds to achieve and it's insulting and innacurate to take away from their effort. I know, it's easy and salacious to envision a scheme to keep players eligible, but after countless witch hunts and digging, the facts simply don't support this accusation no matter how much rival fans or UNC haters want it to be true.
Interest, but older article that disputes the claim of student athletes benefiting from a double standard of academic achievement. UNC system report details athletes' academic qualifications :: WRAL.com
I've also toured the Case center (7 or 8 years ago) during the week at NCST and seen first hand the benefits offered by one on one tutor sessions for student athletes only. I can only assume the same programs are in use at other universities in the system.
