Hi! I'd love to hear CharlotteAgent's ideas on this, but I also would very much welcome others' opinions.

What do you guys think about The Hamptons? Macauly? Wynfield/Wynfield Creek/Forest? Birkdale?

I find all of them appealing. They have - at least in parts - similar homes and lots sizes, but the prices vary considerably. To an extent, the reason behind the differential is obvious. It seems that prices in at least some of these neighborhoods have risen quite substantially just in the last several months. (Please let me know if you feel my impression about this is wrong). Do you feel prices have spiked and will adjust down? Or is this more likely the beginning of steady climb. Put another way, do you feel any of these subs are currently overvalued (or, undervalued, for that matter)?

Thanks!

If you like Wynfield you should also check out Cedarfield. Some of the homes in there are very nice. All of the neighborhoods you stated are very nice and established. I think the Charlotte market as a whole is on the rise and will continue. The reason being is people are moving here in droves. There are many homes under contingency with people waiting to sell their homes out of state. I think our market is growing at a good rate and will continue.

I also think the neighborhoods you mentioned are in line with todays market. The people I meet that are moving here are either looking for new construction or an established neighborhood. I think you would be ok to choose from any of these. Let me know if I can be of any help.
