Hi. We have visited greenville nc, wake forest, hickory. Wake forest / capital blvd was crazy w traffic. Greenville we liked but the hurricanes are risky. Liked hickory as well. Im tired of looking and want to make a decision. Crazy traffic is a deal breaker.

Just don't go near Concord Mills on a weekend if you don't like crazy traffic. The rest of Concord is fine traffic wise typically.

This thread made me wonder. I remembered your thread about going from Hickory to Concord to visit a cousin. Did you ever meet up with your cousin?

Have you changed your mind about Hickory? I thought that you liked it.

Concord or Hickory would provide quite a few job options for your husband. Hickory has a college, & a hospital that might provide you with a job. There's an industrial park just off 321 in Lincoln County, too. Concord or Kannapolis might provide something for you, but you would be near more potential jobs in Charlotte. Have you looked online & compared?

We really liked hickory alot but we also loved the surrounding areas towards ashville. Like morganton. Now we want to keep venturing west. We want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of charlotte and wd like somewhere w calmer traffic ( as ive mentioned several times. Lol

That's what puzzled me. Concord is much closer to Charlotte (traffic).

If you liked Morganton you might also like Shelby, but from Morganton you might have to go to Hickory for a job. From Shelby, you might have to look at Gastonia.

Figure out 2 or 3 places that you like, then apply for jobs. Wherever you get a job would be where you move to.
